What is the FLAME Conference?

Founded in 2014, the Feminist Leadership and Mentorship for Equality (FLAME) Conference is an annual, all-day event open to Rhode Island high school students featuring a variety of workshops run by Brown student groups and faculty.

The FLAME Conference aims to engage local high school students, undergraduate mentors, and faculty lecturers in conversations and activities that promote intersectional feminist thought. Through this conference, Feminists at Brown seeks to build a forward-thinking and inclusive community focused on questioning norms and creating social change.

This year FLAME will take place at Brown University on Saturday, March 9th, 2019.
